Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
I am a huge Indiana Jones fan so, naturally, I couldn't wait to see the 4th installment.
Indiana Jones 4 is alright, but it leaves you thinking to yourself, "I waited 20 years to see this?"
It was definitely not a cinematic masterpiece, however, the special effects were pretty good. Although, there's a sword fight that occurs atop two humvee's that looks pretty fake. For another thing, I cannot imagine this to be a Indiana Jones movie, as it appeared to be more like a Star Wars movie because of the aliens that were in it; too much influence from George Lucas and not enough from Spielberg, in my opinion.
Overall, I have to give this movie 2 1/2 out of 5 stars.
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
You can tell from seeing this movie that the directors and cast definitely put a lot of work into this movie... Although the acting was weak, the special effects were phenomenal; they didn't appear fake like some effects in other movies that I have seen.
Much better than the first installment, in my opinion. It offers vivid description and imagery that C.S. Lewis used when writing the series.
Overall, I have to give this movie 4 out of 5 stars. |
